FOR DECEMBER:

Howdy y'all, it's your occasionally-absentee admin, Halley. If you don't know, I play Kuroda, Nick, Valentin, and Satsu, and I'm pretty chill. But okay, this isn't the "Blabbing about your awesome self" box, so I'll get to the actual updates, maybe.

Alright, first of all. I'd like to encourage people to make threads. I know I'm lame at it too, but if you have more threads that you're interested in, you're more active and you have more fun, and who doesn't want that? :D If you have an idea for a plot, don't be afraid to ask in the plotting section, which you can find here. I'm also looking for ideas for a site-wide plot, so if you have one, post a thread about it.

I'm sure we all remember the broaden your horizons thing from last month, lets try. Really. It also includes gender (we have more boys than girls right now) and sexuality (there are like 2 female bisexuals/lesbians, compared to lots and lots of male ones.) I won't preach to you about it.

(dear members -coughhalley&annacough-: straight men exist. they really do. not that you would know from our ratios. and it doesn't count if it says they're straight on their bio and then they suddenly discover they're bi or pansexual. or if they're willing to play for the other team. love you all to pieces, izzy.)

Also from last month: the contests. Really. Whyyyy don't we enter the contests? D: I know there's only one besides COTM/MOTM up right now, but... D: What kind of contests do you guys like? I was thinking of maybe a graphics contest, or another ad contest, or maybe try another fic contest. And what kind of prizes do you like? Honestly, I'm at a loss for prizes since I can't really do real prizes, only virtual ones. : Help me out, post in the suggestions thread about this matter.

Finally, on a related note, I was thinking of perhaps changing our banner & maybe the color scheme. I would put up a contest for this, and you lovely folks would enter it, right? :D Or if nobody entered I'd just put a new layout up. But a contest would be more fun, and there would be fabulous prizes of some variety.

Alright, I suppose that's all I have to say. To conclude, please advertise and get us some more members! :D

haha, you thought it was over. pfft. okay, so this is izzy speaking, and she wants to tell you what she plans to do for the cotm/motm polls. Here's how it's gonna roll: when i put up the polls, about a week before the month ends, i am going to search members, and come up with the ones who've logged on in the last five days. I'll put all the characters belonging to a member who has logged on in the last five days. If you happen to log on after the polls are up, too bad. So start loggin on occasionally, people! You dont even have to post - just log on. with one character. It takes like five seconds. And then you can get on member of the month and character of the month YAY!

Also, we will be putting admins on the member of the month polls if activity doesn't pick up. I mean, really? seriously? Three active members? COME ON. Work with me here people - we can't make the site work otherwise.

PS: just reiterating what Halley said: diversity among characters, making threads, JOINING THE CONTESTS KTHX, help us out by advertising, etc. She's wonderful - you should listen to her. anyway, that's all for now. good-bye~
